Semillon, chardonnay, and sauvignon blanc in perfect harmony. Good blends should borrow purposefully from all of their parts, as exampled by this beauty. There’s tropical fruit aplenty, with a bit of burnt sugar on the periphery. Zesty lemon and pithy lime adds brightness and freshness. Bristly acidity gives lift throughout the finish. The fruit complexity is balanced against textural, savoury herbaceousness and the finish is creamy and lasting. There is so much on offer here, but the wine remains versatile and friendly - it’ll pair well with just about any dish, but we think it drinks brilliantly on its own.
