I remember amidst a lifestyle of chardonnay, pinot grigios and a heavy influence of grüner veltliner, I was swept off my feet. Perhaps there’s something to be said of albariño being the Goldilocks varietal- just enough of all the pleasing attributes of popular white varieties that it hits that ‘just right’ moment.
