Many will sniff around Margaret River for their famed chardonnays: usually big, bold, buttery, and boisterous. Our producer somehow manages to honour the integrity of the region while diverting almost entirely from this trademark style. Lime, grapefruit, pear, almond, biscotti, melon and a touch of flint for a rich finish. Oh, but the acid! It’s bright, lively, and ready to break down stereotypes. No half-measures to be found. It’s all or nothing and we choose all. Perhaps ‘subtlety’ isn’t in the vocabulary here, but fans of the Margs style certainly won’t mind.
What is a Black Market deal?
Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article – absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
