Don’t get us wrong, this goes some of the way there, seeing 9 months in partially new French oak and constant lees stirring (to get all that yeasty, toasty flavour). What is outstanding about this drop is the delightful acid line that cleans the palate in one foul swoop. Or should we say sip. Lemon, grapefruit, and minerality are the stars of the show, with a lingering touch of vanilla and almond. When you’re craving the lighter and the brighter, this is the one for you.
