Psst, you there! Yeah you! Stop looking around, you’re acting suspicious. You’re here for the Black Market wines, aren’t you? Yeah, that’s this box here. Don’t worry they’re all 100% legit, we’re just doing our winemaker mates a favour by not shouting their names from the rooftops. We don’t want to upset anyone, just ‘cause we give you the best prices, on the best wines.

Each case contains TWO of the following wines:

Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Great Southern, WA

94pts Sam Kim |  92pts Wine Pilot | 5 Stars Sam Kim

This is a lovely cabernet for the money. Lean, bright and tastefully structured, it hits all the right notes at all the right times. Blackberry, mulberry and softly-spoken coffee ground aromatics make for some lovely easy drinking. It finishes long and elegant. There’s plenty going on, but it won’t make you feel guilty for cracking on a weeknight. It’s indulgent, but measured.

 YOU’D PAY $28 full price.

Chardonnay 2021

Margaret River, WA

We’ve stocked the reserve chardonnay from this Margaret River producer in the past, but figured we’d have a go with their more casual range. We’re talking Margs chardy on an obscene deal! If we didn’t know better ourselves, we’d think this might just be too good to be true. It’s not of the massive, buttery style shown by many of its far more expensive counterparts, but rather a more focussed and minerally character. There’s a mouthwatering line of white peach and nectarine coursing through, and a little oak influence rounds it out by providing some tannin and spice. This is a wine you can enjoy any night of the week without thinking twice.

YOU’D PAY $28 full price.

Pinot Noir 2017

Marlborough, NZ

The name of this wine came to prominence as a quality pinot back in 2008, when trophies were being awarded to them for their 2006 vintage, and every future pinot they’ve made has enjoyed trophies, golds, points and absolute smashability. From a ripping Bannockburn single site, it just has everything: elegance, grace, poise, power. A seductive bouquet of black fruits and a touch of earthy complexity. Expect dark cherry, plum and thyme on the palate. This has it all in check, composed and confident.

YOU’D PAY $26 full price.

Pinot Gris 2021

Wrattonbully, WA

Five Star Halliday Rated Winery | Mofo Fave

Along with big reds, aromatic whites grow very well in the cool climes of Wrattonbully. This is an example that we like a lot. It’s classic, melony, with pear-driven lusciousness and appley goodness running from the generosity of Golden Delicious right through to the almost bashfully exuberant Fuji. Fresh, fleshy and mouth-wateringly moreish, if you don’t know why we love this already, find out why.

YOU’D PAY $25 full price.

Sauvignon Blanc

Coonawarra, SA

96pts Winestate Magazine | Five Stars Winestate Magazine

Coonawarra sauv blanc? Is that a thing? Turns out it is and it should be. Coonawarra is technically a cool climate region, allowing for slower ripening and development of flavour. That’s pretty damn perfect for sauv blanc. This is super fragrant with lemon, lime and white peach. There’s passionfruit and nectarine on the palate with a bit of texture and crisp acidity to finish. It’s savvy bee through and through, just from an unexpected place. And if you still aren’t convinced, perhaps that 96 point score from Winestate will seal the deal.

YOU’D PAY $25 full price.

Shiraz 2020

Langhorne Creek, SA

90pts The Real Review | Five Star Halliday Rated Winery | Vegan-friendly

Hello amazing value South Aussie shiraz! If you are a shiraz lover, keen on the generosity and flavour-power of the South Australian style... keep reading. This wine is from one of the leading (warmer) regions and a producer who really knows what they are doing in the vineyard and winery. It’s classic full-bodied shiraz with fruit aplenty - rich plums, dark cherries and fresh dates. The nose is full of spice, which continues on the palate, which is plush and full of soft smooth tannins.

What is a Black Market deal?

Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article – absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
