Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Barossa Vally, SA
94pts Wine Orbit | Mofo Fave
We really feel you’ll be very chuffed when this wine arrives at your doorstep and the producer’s name is revealed. Previous deals from this winery have driven our mofo members to rapturous delight and left them wanting even more. This Barossa cabernet with plenty of years already under its belt scored a classy 94 points from Wine Orbit and at the discount we’re offering, it’s none other than an absolute steal! Punchy warm climate aromatics of dried herbs, blackberry and game give way to a rich and round palate of cassis and exotic smoky oak. Its bottle age means this 2017 is ready to enjoy developed characteristics now but, by all means, lie it down longer and continue its journey to ultimate maturity.

Shiraz 2020
Barossa Valley, SA
Like a good book, wine is not all about what’s on the cover. But we have to say, when you’re getting great vino in some super sleek packaging, it’s a big bonus. This is the Barossa classic with a modern edge. Fruit-driven and rich, it hits every corner of your palate with pleasing intensity. The oak-imparted tannins make for a ripper time with some charred meat or veg, perfect for that easy weeknight in.

Cabernet Tempranillo 2019
King Valley, VIC
It may not be the most traditional of blends, but us Aussies excel in bringing together perfect pairings. Perfectly poised cabernet meets herbaceous, chocolatey tempranillo to create a ripe-yet-savoury drop for all seasons. The tannins are fine, welcoming a little bit of food to pair. We’re thinking some oily cheeses and maybe cured meats. Sounds pretty good, hey?

Shiraz 2017
Padthaway, SA
Gold Medal- Royal Adelaide Wine Show | ‘Mofo Fave
Lovers of big, bold South Aussie shiraz can tell you, that just around the corner from Coonawara lies the region of Padthaway. Where cab shines in Coonawarra, shiraz is the star of Padthaway. We’ve seen a few vintages of this wine, all delicious and consistent in style.
First, you’ll find a touch of reduction on the nose, the blows off after a couple of swirls and reveals plums, blackberries and an alluring mocha note. It’s full and rich on the palate, with blood plums, cherries and spice. The wine is excellent value and delivers all of the power and flavour that SA shiraz is famous for.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Coonawarra, SA
This is classic Coonawarra cabernet coming from a producer who delivers consistent and precise wines year after year. It’s five years old and looking good, showing those deep tertiary flavours of leather and tobacco that round out the bright and fruit forward cabernet intensity. There are dusty red soil notes, herbaceousness, red and dark berries. The palate is firm and supported by acid drive, with layers to explore. It’s not a wine to excite with new flavours, but a wine to remind us what Coonawarra Cabernet can be.
