Grenache 2019

Single Vineyard
This wonderful grenache is from one of the best parts of Barossa, as you will see when it is unveiled. It is a wine that patience has rewarded, from old vines that were planted in the 1930s, bring intensity and complexity. It is a classic wine, brimming with fruit and after a year and a half in oak (all French), fruit and tannin are well integrated. That said, it’s still quite young so you’ll see lively fruit - plums, berries, blueberries - along with a real spiciness. I’m talking about sweet and punchy spices like liquorice and fennel. This vibrancy will mellow over the next few years and I’ve no doubt that it will just become more and more interesting.

Shiraz 2018
Heathcote, VIC
Heathcote is among Australia’s top regions for shiraz with its famous Cambrian soils and sunshine that sees the variety thrive and develop into intense and rich little grapes of goodness. This three-year-old wine is simply delicious. It charges from the glass with a combo of plums, spice and chocolate aromas, and is followed by classic Heathcote pepper on the palate. A glorious wine at a great price, that you can crack every weekday night with your cuisine of choice.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Wrattonbully, SA
5 Star Halliday Rated Winery | Single Vineyard
Wrattonbully brings the goods when it comes to cabernet. It’s that red clay and loam soil that’s the key. We’ve got our hands on a single vineyard example that’s been given heaps of love by the producer. Despite its medium body, it’s quite ripe with flavours of cassis and blackberry. Low cropping levels and small berries have led to great concentration and some time in French oak has given the wine a nice spicy backbone and fine tannins.

Cabernet Shiraz 2016

We are big fans of this producer here at the ‘fo - enjoying their bold and powerful reds from across the range. We think you’ll be thrilled too - this is a seriously good wine, sourced from the best rows of the best blocks in the vineyard. The vines are old and what they lack in quantity (yield), they make up for in superb quality. Full bodied, but balanced with pepper and spice, there are just so many layers to discover in this wine. Laden with luscious, ripe blackberries, earthy blackcurrants, mocha, hints of cedar and a dollop of liquorice, you’re in for a treat with this divine, velvety red.
