This Barossa shiraz speaks of the powerful 2016 vintage and the master crafters who made it. It’s powerful and opulent, but maintains a certain grace that keeps everything in balance. There’s no surprises here with the flavour profile, an expression of blackberry, plum, chocolate, spices and cedar from the use of 30% new French oak. After five years in bottle, it’s drinking beautifully now, but has another decade of prime left in it for those patient types.

If you’re into deep, peppery and savoury shiraz, then you better read on. This one from the King Valley was hand-picked, treated with the utmost attention and care in the winery, and then sent to new French oak for 15 months. Dark in colour with aromas of sage, mint, black cherry and earth, there’s heaps of pepper, exotic spices and herbs running through the palate. This isn’t light and bright happy juice, but more the dark, brooder that warms the soul.

It is VERY exciting we are able to get our hands on this one at the ‘Fo. Only available in exclusive small batches, this Yea Valley cab franc is not one to miss. It’s beautifully perfumed and the inviting bouquet is layered with ripe plum, cedar and cloves, and the elegant palate is delicately poised with berries and a touch of mint. It’s absolutely delicious so you better make sure you get your hands on a case of this.
